MoB’s music is very much grounded in the blues, and yet not quite like “conventional” blues. Adding modern rock sounds to classic blues music, MoB creates a new sound, while retaining the soul of this genre of music.
MoB’s musical influences range from old, traditional Blues (Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters, Willie Dixon) to Blues-rock (Jimi Hendrix, Robben Ford, Stevie Ray Vaughan), other ‘greats’ from the 60s and 70s (Bob Dylan, Beatles, Doors) down to the modern exponents of Rock (Joe Satriani, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin).
The band’s music is not the laid back, lonesome blues but a hard-hitting ‘we’re coming at you like a ton of bricks’ blues played with finesse and a deft touch. Red Hot Blues Rock is what it is.
